Raw Naples

I love the rawness of southern Italy. Naples is an explicit demonstration. It is not the most photogenic one, but it’s one of the most authentic one, with the brightest colors. Tourists come and go, but never seem to be included in the city life. There are narrow and long hills throughout the whole city, barely walkable with luggages. Motorbikes pass by constantly with dust left behind. If you look up, the most common scence is balcony laundries, the water might drip from time to time…

Neapolitans won’t approach you, they just stand beside their doors and look at you in distance. If you approach first, they might say ‘ciao bella’. There is no need to act in this city, people live their own ways, like there is nobody watching.
